Wan should do his hair like that.
The game itself is my current fav of all on PS2.. story line, characters, graphics, interface, everything in it is so fucking hard core bad ASS... UNF.. I MUST get the sequal to Devil May Cry..
Anyhow.. I myself have just started fucking with conte crayon, havent uploaded anything to deviantART yet, because I'm still gettin the ropes down.. it's a magnificent media, I love it.. it's so easy to manipulate.. I'm only messing with B&W, although I bought a basic brown, because... well.. I just can't afford it, yet..
You did an awesome job on the cloak, I must say.. but I think you need to define the edges a little more. Especially where it flies out at the ends.. where you can see the inside of the cloak, behind his back, it's a little too smooth, it's hard to get the sense of depth there.
Actually in general, I think it's just a bit too smooth.. needs more sharp definition.. Just use a sharper corner of the conte crayon and add a couple extra lines here and there along the edges, and dont smudge them in so much.. just soften them BARELY, to leave the edge, but not make it seem sketchy.
I think the background is awesome.. it's active, and a fitting setting, but not TOO distracting.. that should stay as it is.. very good.. I think Dante is all that needs sharpening.. along with the foreground terrain.
The stone outcroppings are pretty sweet, I gotta say, I likes it.. fits in with the mirror world terrain a bit, though the BG is more like the underworld.
I'd like to have seen a bigger sword, since that is one of his trademark deals.. the over sized huge lightning sword. Maybe I'll try a Dante piece myself, although I'm a big fan of Ifrit
Badass.. I say that word over and over, lol, but I love this... I think a few touchups would do it wonders...
